The second leg of the Champions League round of 16 was a huge disappointment for defending champions AC Milan and their fans. The Italian team was ousted from the competition by a younger and more enthusiastic Arsenal team who managed to beat the odds and defeat Milan away from home.

The game which was exciting to watch and fast paced was dominated by Arsenal who had most chances to score in both half. No goals were scored, however, until late in the game during a span of 6 minutes when Cesc Fabregas and Emmanuel Adebayor scored to give their team a 2-0 win over Milan in San Siro. The first game played in England had ended in a 0-0 tie giving the Italians much hope of moving on. After being ousted from Champions League competition, the rumors that team coach Carlo Ancelotti will be replaced by either Jose Mourinho or Marcello Lippi are picking up steam once more.

At the end of the day, Arsenal played much better in both games and it was only some bad luck and poor finishing that prevented the youngsters from scoring a goal or two in the first game. So far, Arsenal has shown that they are the number one contender for the title and if they continue to play the same exciting soccer none will stand in their way.
