Olympiakos wins the Greek Superleague

Olympiakos has won their 11th Greek championship in the last 12 years to make it a total 36 championships since its inception. The Greek Superleague was decided at the very last game of the season when Olympiakos defeated Northern Greek club Iraklis 3-1 to keep 2 points ahead of Athens club AEK. Olympiakos’ continuous dynasty in Greek soccer was for the first time in 10 years also accopmanied with a good performance in the Champions League; the Greek club was eliminated from the competition by English club Chelsea in the knock-out round of 16.
Olympiakos can finish the season strong winning the Hellas Online cup next month. The champions will play Aris in the final game.
The rest of the Greek soccer clubs will now meet each other in a playoff championship in order to decide which teams will play in European competitions next season. The 5 teams participating in the playoffs are AEK, Panathinaikos, Aris, Panionios, and Larissa.
AEK’s Brazilian star Rivaldo has said that he will not be participating in the playoff competition because of his disappointment of losing the Super League championship to his former club Olympiakos. He also plans to leave Greece after 4 seasons to return home in Brazil. Thank you for your services Rivaldo but get the fuck out of here because your attitude is annoying as hell. You get paid millions of dollars every year to play soccer not to run the team that sends you your paycheck every month. Greek clubs gave you the chance to continue playing soccer at an age that no decent European club would even look at your resume. Thank you for the on-the-pitch memories and goodbye!
