Manchester United will be missing their star player Christiano Ronaldo for up to twelve weeks of action starting this week. Ronaldo just like some other people we’ve been talking about here on the blog had to go through ankle surgery, and is now forced to miss about three months of playing time.

Ronaldo is going to definitely miss the UEFA Super Cup, and he is expected to be missing the beginning of the UEFA Champions League. Ronaldo is optimistic about not having to miss any of the Champions League matches, but doctors have timed his return to be after the first two matches.

Christiano just had his surgery done on Monday and is already been quoted mentioning that his healing is going good. Now I find this hard to believe as the swelling probably isn’t even down yet, but I do hope that he makes a fast return for the sake of all Manchester United fans.

The 23 year old superstar has been lighting it up lately and trying to make his name stick in history, but the injury is going to stop that at least for a bit. He should be back for the latter rounds of the Champions League but who knows what type of shape he will be in when he does play and if it will make any difference or not. He hasn’t shown any sign of slowing down his skills though in the past so I doubt very much that there will be any issues when it becomes time for Ronaldo to make his return. I’m sure all the fans will be waiting patiently for his return, which is unless things start going bad for Manchester. With so many skills on that team though I don’t think they will even blink twice without the power of Ronaldo.
