Claude Puel has a lot of pressure on him this year with Olympique Lyonnais

As we all know Olympique Lyonnais has done exceptional the past decade basically and have won seven straight French Ligue 1 championships. Now with new coach Claude Puel onboard they will be looking to continue this championship run into this season which begins tomorrow. Last year coach Alain Perrin managed to take the team into a double domestic title last year and now the pressure is on new coach Puel to do the same this year.
With the team yet to move past the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals a lot of people will be looking for the new coach to move them forward and beyond this stage. Puel who is 46 years old has already had an exceptional coaching career which has been seen by thousands of people. The competition has been improving quite a bit over the past few seasons and it won’t be an easy ride for new coach Claude Puel.
If Puel can’t move the team past the quarter-finals this year then you can expect to see a new coach at the end of the season. They seem to not mind changing coaches and they will definitely move Puel unless he can magically take Olympique Lyonnais into the semi-finals or finals of the UEFA championship.
FC Girondins de Bordeaux should be the toughest competition this season for Lyonnais and they will also need to worry about Paris-Saint-Germain FC. These should be the only two teams they need to worry about in Ligue 1 action, and if they can beat these two rivals then they should do fine with new coach Claude Puel.
