As usual the English teams dominate this year UEFA Champions League teams and they should have the winning team come up on top. As always there were sixteen teams who made it to the Champions League automatically and then another sixteen teams who qualified for the league. There will be a grand total of seventeen different nations with a team hosting them in the league this year which is quite a bit.

All four of the English teams have been seeded into the top eight which isn’t much of a surprise to most people. In pot one there is Manchester United, Chelsea FC, Liverpool FC, FC Barcelona, Arsenal FC, Olympique Lyonnais, FC Internazionale Milano and Real Madrid CF. The seedings for the league will be completed today so we will all soon now how the first round will look like.

Manchester United is looking to become the first team ever to win consecutive UEFA Champions League titles and it won’t be an easy road. Matches begin in September and will stretch right through into December basically taking us right up to Christmas.

If I had too choose my favourites for the league then I would need to go with Chelsea or Barcelona as both of them have the power to win this year. I don’t think Manchester United will be able to win twice in a row as it’s been proven impossible to do thus far, and I can’t see them breaking the streak. Chelsea is the number ranked team going into the first round, and although I don’t like first seeds in tournaments it’s hard not to go with them. Barcelona also looks great this year and managed to finish in the top pot and it should be interesting to see how they do this year.
