Brazilian International and AC Milan soccer star Ronaldinho is learning a lesson from teammate Beckham’s book on image building. Just before the very important soccer match between Inter and AC Milan, instead of spending the few remaining hours practicing and visualizing the road to victory, Ronaldinho decided to pay luxury barber Manolo Garcia a visit in search of a new look in preparation for the game.
Ronaldinho who was chased away by Barcelona after his performance on the soccer pitch declined dramatically but found a home in Italy (where all fallen soccer stars seem to go when they want to receive one last fat paycheck just before retirement) is obviously making an effort to rebuild his battered image. Maybe he learned from teammate David Beckham that a great image will make him more money that scoring goals; it will also very likely get him more women. He will certainly have a chance to show off his new hairdo this weekend as he is most certainly to play in the match against Inter replacing the injured Kaka. For the record, Milan desperately needs a win in this game in order to stay in competition for the Serie A league title since they are already 8 points behind leaders Inter.
Ronaldinho has been rumored a move to Major League Soccer as part of a trade deal with the LA Galaxy with Beckham staying with Milan next season and the Brazilian moving to the US; the deal is also likely to involve a large sum of money if it ever goes through, of course. The only problem is that neither of the two soccer players want to play the MLS since the quality of play in the league is far too low for them to manage a spot on their respective national team for the 2010 World Cup.
At the end of the day, however, I would really like to hear what Jose Mourinho has to say about Ronaldinho’s new hairstyle. Stay tuned!
