Cristiano Ronaldo was awarded earlier today the FIFA Goal of the Year award, also known as the Puskas award, for his goal against Port FC in April 15, 2009, in the Champions League quarter finals game. He won the honor for a goal he scored playing for Manchester United. If you don’t recall, Ronaldo was the most expensive soccer player transfer when he moved from Man U to Real Madrid last summer.

Ronaldo scored with a shot from 40 yards away. The Porto goalkeeper’s effort to stop the ball was hopeless. I really think that Ronaldo deserved to win this award because as you can see int he video below this was an incredible, fantastic goal.
