World Cup Prediction

There are two days to go before the biggest sporting event of the year opens up, and every participating nation is raring to go. My World Cup prediction is that this will be a tournament full of surprises, but Brazil, Spain and England are the hot favorites to win it.
Brazil may not have their strongest squad ever, but they always have bountiful talent and produce some of the most special moments in each competition. Spain are the European champions and have the best group of players, but their task will be to emulate their success two years ago and win another major trophy. As for England, they are as good as they have been for a long time under the management of Fabio Capello, and the time has come for Terry, Lampard, Gerard, Rooney and co. to show what they can do.
Defending champions Italy do not look at their best at the moment, but one can never rule them out. They are masters at achieving precisely the results they need, and would be a tough challenge for any team to eliminate. Argentina and Netherlands have some of the world’s best players, and if they get their tactics right, they can beat anyone on their day. The African teams have been rocked by some major injuries, such as Drogba for Ivory Coast, Mikel for Nigeria and Essien for Ghana, but they will be spurred on by their fans, and I can see at least Cameroon making it to another quarterfinal.
At the end of the day, if I had to chose, my World Cup prediction would be that Spain will win the competition.
